I have the same kind of chairs … even a small version for my daughter. I would’ve said something. Everyone in my family knows I’m outspoken, so it wouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone. I might’ve made a joke about it, like, “Oh look! I found YOUR chair!” But I definitely would’ve said something … I would’ve been the jackass! LOL. Sorry you had to suffer in silence!

Dem - Thanks for making me LOL!! I would have “stewed in my own head” the whole freaking day too just so as not to make a scene with the in-laws. I guess it just depends on how well you knew that person…you could have said something like “Dude, thanks for keeping my seat warm, but I’ll take over now!” But hey, it’s always easy to come up with a witty quip after the fact; during the pressure moment my brain tends to short out or stew!

I know how you feel. I have two chairs like that, and I never let anybody sit in them.

Yup. I’m right there with you. Only worse. I still don’t have my chairs!!! They are still at the relative’s house. Not only did I not get to sit in MY chairs, when I needed to leave, the occupants did not get up. Excuse me…. did you bring those chairs?!! No, I did not want to cause a problem so I said nothing. And that is still bugging me!

Dem, Look at the bright side… you still have the chair and its not broke! A 300#. Family member could have totaled it for you and said “OH!!! sorry, it must have been an old chair”
BTW… most of the camp chairs I have seen have a 230# limit.

Awwwwwwwwwww Dem…..You should have said something you would have felt so much better about it now but at least you are able to vent in this venue, most of us don’t have your ability to shout on-air…good for you !!!!
