Best Album Ever

.
In 1997, I accidentally found the perfect album. I was working for The Nerve and we got a box of CD’s from the label to give away. Radiohead had just released their new album “OK Computer“. I always liked their song “Creep“, so I grabbed one and took it home to my basement studio apartment on Monroe Ave. It was one of 10 cd’s I brought home that week. I think that’s how they were paying me back then.
I put it into my CD player (remember those?) and let it run. At first, I was thinking “what the f is this?” It was nothing like I had ever heard before, but it had caught my attention. I could tell it was good, but it was a challenge to listen to. After spending a week with it, I knew it was the best album I had ever heard. 11 years later, I still have the same opinion. It still is the best album I’ve ever heard.
Oh….and it’s still in my CD player. If you were to walk into ManTown right now and open my CD changer, you’d see it right there in slot number 1. I’m not kidding.
Why do I tell you this long boring story about a Radiohead album? Because I just learned that you can buy Radiohead’s “OK Computer” for $1.99 at Amazon.com.
Listen. If just one person reads this and takes advantage of the opportunity to buy this album for $1.99, I’ll be happy.
If you need the link, here it is. If you buy it, let me know what you think.
Please feel free to post a comment and let me know what you think is the best album ever…

I have yet to find the “best” album ever. That must be why I am 37 years old and have never been married. Haven’t found the “best” yet. It’s quite possibly this may be it! I will be sure to let you know once I get it in my hot little hands and spend some time with it. More to follow…

Hey Dem,
I agree to a certain degree about OK Computer. That recording is my favorite Radiohead recording. Rating music, for me, is like rating beer. I need a case to fill with my faves.
