It was a crazy weekend for election related TV.  Two things come to mind.  One of them was obvious.  The other was not so obvious, but monumental nonetheless.

The first event of course was Sarah Palin’s appearance on Saturday night live.  She did the opening segment which was funny if you keep in mind that Alec Baldwin is a RAVING supporter of the Democratic party.

She then showed up again for Weekend Update where she was mocked pretty badly.  Here they are, but keep reading for the REALLY big news afterward.

And here is the big news.  Former Secretary of State for George Bush, and all around war hero Colin Powell was on Meet the Press when Dan Rather asked him point blank who he’s voting for in a few weeks.  The answer is both eloquent and shocking.  Take the time to watch it, I found it fascinating.
